I am excited. Today I used rsync to upload a folder of documents to my server. In addition, I spent some time becoming more comfortable with the command line.
At some point, I started feeling the urge to better understand the origins of Linux. I found the book How Linux Works? and finished the first chapter.
PS – It might sound strange, but the reason I bought server space a few days ago and started this sprint was not because I was in a hurry to build my own website.
It started with a simple request from a friend to share a document. To cut a long story short, I went from searching for open-source alternatives to Google Drive, to discovering Nextcloud, to realizing that I could accomplish the same thing by buying server space, learning rsync, and making my folders publicly accessible.
