Writer’s Block—or Just Didn't Eat That Frog?

It's 8:22 pm and I have no idea what to publish today. I’ve been staring at my screen for over an hour. I even went through my list of blog ideas — none of them called out to me. Deep down, I know it would take a few hours of focused thinking and writing to turn any of those ideas into a decent post.

I'm also super tired — which is true — but it still feels like an excuse. Is this writer's block? Maybe I got it after writing for 30 days straight? Sounds like another excuse.

Truth be told, I need to start writing earlier in the day. It always works splendidly when I start the process early in the morning. I procrastinated—or, as the famed self-help guru Brian Tracy would say—I just didn’t Eat That Frog this morning. It’s kind of crazy how easy it is to get the writing done — just start in the morning — and how easy it is not to — just don’t.

Today was a good reminder to follow the very systems I’ve created for myself.
Tomorrow, I’ll Eat That Frog first thing — I owe it to the writer in me.
