Early in my career, I realized that many of my inner conflicts came from misalignment—my head (thoughts), my heart (feelings), and my hands (actions) were not in sync.
With my natural bias for action, I made it my mission to align the three.
Eventually, I got there.
But alignment didn’t deliver the results I wanted.
It gave me balance. Not breakthroughs.
Out-sized results demand something else: obsession. The kind that crowds out balance. The kind that keeps pulling you back, again and again, to the same problem.
How did I figure this out?
The only reason I got my head, heart, and hands in sync… was obsession.
Alignment might have made me whole. But obsession will make me exceptional.
